Brief description of change programmes in each country: 

• Ethiopia: Ethiopia's change programme aimed to improve the nutritional status of poor and vulnerable populations through multisectoral efforts for nutrition-sensitive social protection. The programme worked to enhance the Productive Safety Net Programme by integrating health, agriculture, WASH, and education interventions, with a specific focus on addressing malnutrition in children and mothers. The work involved strengthening inter-sectoral coordination, advocating for policy changes, and building the capacity of government institutions to deliver integrated nutrition and social protection services.
• Mozambique: Mozambique's change programme sought to reform the country's social protection system's programmatic and institutional framework, with particular emphasis on progressing toward universal child grants and human capital development. The work involved improving coordination between government, donors, and NGOs in implementing child grants, strengthening implementation mechanisms, and developing evidence-based approaches for programme enhancement.
• Rwanda: Rwanda's change programme focused on designing and establishing a well-coordinated Integrated Case Worker Management System to accelerate human capital development. The work involved streamlining all caseworkers providing social services across health, education, livelihoods, poverty alleviation, gender equality, agriculture, and local government into one integrated structure. This included developing coordination frameworks, training materials, and monitoring systems.
• Zimbabwe: Zimbabwe's change programme aimed to develop an efficient, harmonised, and accessible social protection system through three main focus areas: integrated targeting approaches, management information systems, and grievance mechanisms. The work involved developing coordinated systems, strengthening institutional frameworks, and improving service delivery mechanisms across various social protection programmes.

Please confirm if you will be able to participate in all phases of training highlighted in the brochure. In particular, the three potential in-person workshops are as follows: 

• First regional phase - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - 2025-10-01 - 2025-10-03
• Swedish training phase - Stockholm, Sweden - March 2026
• Second regional phase - Country to be finalised (within Eastern or Southern Africa regions) - May 2026
